We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Application Support Engineer with 4-6 years of experience in software testing and application support. The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp application support methodologies and the ability to manage incidents in a production environment. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams to ensure software quality and operational stability.
Main responsibilities
Analyse requirement specifications and create comprehensive test cases.
Execute manual and/or automated tests to validate application functionality.
Identify, document, and track defects using JIRA.
Collaborate with developers and product managers to clarify requirements and resolve issues.
Perform regression testing and ensure readiness for release.
Monitor and respond to incidents and service requests in a timely manner.
Perform root cause analysis and escalate issues when necessary.
Coordinate with vendor support and internal teams to ensure resolution.
Maintain support documentation and contribute to knowledge base updates.
Ensure application uptime and performance through proactive monitoring and checks.
Experience and Skills
4-6 years of experience in application support roles
Experience working in cross-functional teams with developers, product managers, and support teams.
Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and QA methodologies.
Familiarity with support ticketing systems and SLA-based operations.
Experience in working on Selenium, Web Driver, JIRA, API and Mobile app testing
Analytical and problem-solving skills for incident diagnosis and resolution.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
