Responsibilities

• Interact with product management, project management and development teams to develop a strong understanding of the project and testing objectives
• Should co-ordinate between onshore & offshore teams
• Participate in troubleshooting and triaging of issues with different teams to drive towards root cause identification and resolution
• Design and create test conditions, test data and test scripts to address business and technical use cases
• Use existing tools and techniques to execute test cases and build/script new tools for performing testing/validation function
• Develop and lead the automation strategy/effort and generate scripts to perform automated testing cycles using Selenium & Cucumber

• 8+ years of experience in software test design and testing methodologies
• Strong hands-on experience in RESTful and SOAP API testing.
• Proficient in tools such as Postman, SoapUI, Swagger, or Insomnia.
• Skilled in automating API test cases using frameworks like: Rest Assured (Java-based),TestNG, Cucumber
• Capable of validating request/response elements including headers, status codes, payload, and schema (JSON/XML).
• Ability to create or enhance API automation frameworks.
• Experience in assertions, test data parameterization, and request chaining.
• Solid understanding of authentication methods such as OAuth 2.0, JWT, API keys, and Basic Auth.
• Integration of API tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps, etc.
• Experience in version control (Git) and generating automation test reports using Allure/ExtentReports.
• Basic SQL knowledge to verify backend impact or troubleshoot issues.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with developers, DevOps teams, and business stakeholders.
