Senior Apache Flink Developer at BairesDev



We are seeking a Senior Apache Flink Developer to lead the development of complex streaming applications and optimizations. You'll enhance Flink performance, implement fault-tolerant pipelines, and mentor junior engineers while contributing to core Flink features.


What You'll Do:


Contribute actively to Apache Flink and related open source projects as a core contributor. Develop and optimize stateful streaming and batch applications using Flink APIs. Implement advanced connectors and integrations with Kafka, Hive, Iceberg, and other data systems. Drive performance tuning for low-latency, high-throughput streaming pipelines. Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance on best practices in stream processing.

What we are looking for:


10+ years of experience in software development. Strong expertise in distributed systems and real-time stream processing. Deep understanding of Apache Flink architecture, including state management, checkpointing, event-time processing, and exactly-once semantics. Proficiency in Java (primary), Scala, and Python (PyFlink) for ecosystem integrations. Proven experience in performance tuning and optimization of streaming pipelines. Core contributions to Apache open source projects (Flink, Kafka, Spark, Hive, or similar). Advanced level of English.
