Job description: Should be fluent with the design and concept of the following:
Selecting the appropriate antenna type based on the application requirements.
Knowledge of different types of antenna for linear and phased arrays, horn antenna, reflector antenna.
Previous experience on metamaterial surface is a must
Designing, developing and simulating the performance of the antenna system for the required on-field application.
Selecting, designing the appropriate Radome structure based on the system requirements.
Designing isolation mechanism on multiple antenna systems to achieve good level of isolation and reduction in mutual coupling
Qualifying antenna for radar system and reiterating and incorporating changes to achieve required performance.
Engaging with antenna fabricators for fabrication and quality assurance
Testing of antenna for EMI/EMC
Anechoic chamber testing for validating the performance of the fabricated antennas
Coordinating with RF Front End design team to achieve the overall system performance.
Strong understanding of RF and microwave principles, transmission lines and matching networks.
Performing RF link budget calculation and come up with the required parameters for the antennas and ensure system performance.
Performance improvement and propose design modifications to enhance overall antenna efficiency.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, RF engineers, and system engineers, to integrate antennas into overall system designs.
Experience with testing and troubleshooting of RF circuit is a plus.
Understanding of digital beam-forming in antennas.
