Qualification/ Eligibility

Certification: CPC / COC / CCS (AAPC or AHIMA) - mandatory. Experience: Minimum 3 years in medical coding, with at least 2 years in Anesthesia Coding. Strong knowledge of ASA guidelines, concurrency, modifiers, and time-based unit calculations. Good understanding of facility and professional fee coding workflows. Proficiency in EHR and coding platforms (e.g., Epic, Meditech, Cerner). Excellent attention to detail, analytical thinking, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a high-volume environment. #

We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Senior Coder - Anesthesia Coding to join our medical coding team. The role involves coding anesthesia procedures accurately according to ASA, CPT, ICD-10-CM, and payer guidelines, ensuring compliance and high-quality output. The ideal candidate should be technically sound, self-driven, and capable of supporting quality initiatives and mentoring junior coders when required.

Job Responsibilities

Review and assign accurate CPT, ASA, ICD-10-CM, and HCPCS codes for anesthesia procedures. Ensure coding accuracy and compliance with CMS, ASA, and payer-specific guidelines. Perform self-audits and support internal quality reviews to maintain error-free submissions. Handle complex cases and provide feedback or clarifications to the team. Stay updated with coding and regulatory changes and apply them in daily work. Collaborate with QA and training teams to improve coding consistency and performance.
