Senior Android Engineer

Position Overview:

We are seeking a Senior Android Engineer with deep experience in Kotlin or Java to join our Global engineering team. You will play a key role in designing and building scalable application for our trading and financial products. This is a hands-on development role and you will contribute to the architecture, performance, reliability and security of our mobile applications.

What You'll Do:

Design, develop and maintain scalable, high-performance mobile applications for Android devices Collaborate with cross-functional teams spanning Engineering, Product, DevOps, Testing, Compliance, Operations and Business development Drive the roadmap for Android application development for new products from concept to scaling up Write clean, maintainable, scalable and testable code Incorporate testing into code to ensure stability, reliability and effective handling of edge cases Troubleshoot and resolve performance, scalability and reliability issues

Key Requirements:

5+ years of experience designing, building and deploying Android applications in production environments Strong experience in Kotlin or Java for building mobile applications Deep understanding of the Android framework and avenues for performance optimisation Experience in integrating analytics tools Experience with incorporating security best practices in Android applications Strong communication, collaboration skills; Familiarity with Agile workflows

Good to Have:

Familiarity with Jetpack, Retrofit, OkHttp, React JS or Java / Spring Boot is a plus Experience with integrating websockets
