Norstella is seeking a Senior Analytics and Insights Lead to join the Content team. This individual will play a critical role in supporting the delivery of high-quality disease and forecast reports by building and maintaining the data and workflow infrastructure that underpins our reporting products. The role focuses on optimizing and evolving our current reporting processes--including data pipelines, assumptions management, and structured analytics--across a wide range of therapeutic areas.

The Lead will work closely with product managers, content creators, and other internal stakeholders to ensure efficient and scalable reporting operations, while also preparing the infrastructure for future integration of Real-World Evidence (RWE) datasets. This is an ideal role for someone with strong healthcare analytics experience, solid technical skills, and a keen interest in enabling product teams to generate impactful insights.

Responsibilities:

Workflow Optimization & Data Infrastructure

Support the development and maintenance of disease-level workflows used to generate epidemiology and forecast reports across multiple product lines. Organize and streamline input data, business rules, and intermediate calculations to enable reproducibility, consistency, and scalability across disease areas and subpopulations. Manage and document data assumptions, logic structures, and transformation steps to ensure traceability and version control in report generation. Transition ad hoc, file-based systems toward more centralized, structured, and flexible data infrastructure.

Data Analysis & Tool Development

Extract, clean, and prepare structured healthcare datasets to support report production across multiple therapeutic and disease areas. Write robust and efficient SQL queries for accessing and transforming data from internal and external sources. Build and maintain Excel-based tools or templates that support rapid data processing and visualization. Conduct detailed quality checks on outputs and intermediate files to ensure integrity and alignment across reports.

Product & Process Enablement

Work with content authors and product managers to understand evolving reporting needs and translate them into scalable analytical workflows. Collaborate on product enhancement initiatives by identifying opportunities to improve turnaround times, template modularity, and data structure flexibility. Proactively identify and implement automation opportunities to reduce manual work and improve process transparency. Participate in process documentation, knowledge sharing, and team onboarding to build institutional continuity around core workflows.

Future-Ready Design & RWE Integration

Design and adapt systems to prepare for future integration of Real-World Evidence (RWE) sources such as claims, EHR, and lab data. Ensure that existing workflows are flexible enough to support additional data types, new disease populations, and emerging product requirements.

Requirements:

Technical and Analytical Expertise

5-7 years of experience in healthcare analytics, pharmaceutical research, life sciences consulting, or data operations. Strong hands-on experience writing SQL for manipulating, extracting, and transforming structured data in a production or reporting setting. Proficiency in Excel, including advanced functions, pivot tables, and templating to support data-driven outputs. Previous experience improving or migrating Excel/VBA-based reporting systems (even if future direction is toward modernized tooling). Experience with data visualization and analytics platforms or automation platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, or Alteryx.

Domain Knowledge

Demonstrated experience working with healthcare data, including drug pipelines, epidemiology estimates, or health outcomes. Familiarity with the drug development process, clinical trial stages, or healthcare market dynamics. Experience collecting, curating, and synthesizing data from multiple sources--both structured and unstructured--to generate meaningful insights.

Process & Workflow Management

Proven ability to manage assumptions, logic, and intermediate datasets across multiple disease areas and report formats. Strong organizational and time management skills; able to prioritize multiple tasks and work efficiently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Proactive problem-solving mindset and ability to independently identify gaps or inefficiencies in workflows and recommend improvements.

Collaboration & Communication

Experience collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders including product owners, report authors, and data teams. Clear communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical team members. Comfortable working in a hybrid or remote team setting and contributing to process documentation and training.

Preferred Experience

Exposure to Real-World Evidence (RWE) or understanding of how RWE is used in disease burden, treatment patterns, or forecasting. Familiarity with working in or supporting product development teams within healthcare, life sciences, or pharma analytics domains. Previous experience improving or migrating Excel/VBA-based reporting systems (even if future direction is toward modernized tooling). Previous experience working in global teams.
