Principal responsibilities



Recognising data as an asset to HSBC by managing Data Risk and ensuring we are compliant with our Data standards and policies. Using analytics and data science to unlock the value of our data. Applying new age technologies like Python, GCP Cloud, GitHub to develop business rules and risk factors Develop methodology and data driven approach to optimize the model Analyse data and find insight to support the functioning of model Help in roll out of model in multiple countries as per plan. Model monitoring and model governance for the Financial Crime Risk model. They will ensure compliance with HSBC's Model Development Standards, remain abreast of latest developments in Modelling tools and techniques and advise leader

Requirements
Able to easily explain complex topics in simple terms to audiences with differing levels of understanding Apply critical and systems thinking to solve business problems. Knowledge and application of mental models that can be applied to common business situations. Able to take an interdisciplinary approach to problem solving. Educational background of one of the following areas Business studies, Banking, History, English Literature, or Maths/Statistics is desirable but not essential An understanding of financial crime risks especially sanctions and money laundering. Minimum of 2 years of working experience preferred Knowledge of basic SQL or Python is useful but not essential. Proficiency in MS office applications is required
