Senior Analyst- Transaction Monitorin Operations
In this role, you will:
Alert Review and Escalation: Review alerts generated by TM systems, ensuring anomalous activities are accurately analyzed and escalated in line with regulatory and internal requirements.
Intelligence Gathering and Risk Awareness: Proactively gather intelligence from credible sources to identify potential ML/TF risks and maintain awareness of emerging Anti-Money Laundering (AML) trends.
Transaction Validation and Analysis: Use available systems to assess the authenticity of transactions, verifying that client activities align with their business profile and investigating any unusual patterns.
Documentation and Compliance Adherence: Document investigation rationales and outcomes while adhering strictly to established processes, procedures, and compliance standards.
Task Ownership and Productivity: Complete assigned investigations independently within defined timelines, consistently meeting process quality and productivity benchmarks.Coordination and Process Improvement: Collaborate with Compliance and Line Management on new business initiatives, ensuring continuous process improvement and alignment with organizational objectives.
Issue Resolution and Escalation: Investigate and resolve issues effectively, escalating where required with clear recommendations and ensuring timely closure of open matters.Information Requests and Customer Focus: Provide concise, accurate responses to RFIs, gathering necessary supporting documentation to address concerns while maintaining customer satisfaction.
Audit, Regulatory, and Control Adherence: Demonstrate adherence to internal controls, maintain accurate records, and support internal/external audits, ensuring full compliance with regulatory expectations.Performance, Compliance, and Assurance Support: Ensure all activities meet required service level standards and regulatory policies, supporting audit and assurance reviews as necessary while upholding the Bank's compliance framework.
To be successful, you will:
Graduate in any discipline.Knowledge of financial crime risk indicators.
Good spoken and written communication skills with the ability to draft written summaries and communicate conclusions effectively in a clear, concise and professional manner.Good critical thinking and analytical skills. Ability to make informed risk-based decisions and support with robust supporting rationale.
Experience of analysing transaction data, along with customer data and external research finding, to assess whether activity is unusual and poses possible financial crime risk.
Collaborative working style with colleagues and broader stakeholders within a cross-border and LoB matrix organisation.A motivated self-starter who has the ability to work effectively alone and under pressure.Capable of picking up, and applying, new ideas/concepts quickly with positive 'can do' attitude.
Prior TM / AML / KYC / Compliance, investigations experience of 2+ years.
ACAMS or International Compliance Association (ICA) certificate/diploma, or equivalent qualifications.
