FDS&A Sr Analyst (Analytics) - Measurement
The Financial Decision Support & Analytics (FDS&A) team is responsible for providing analyses, insights and reporting that help identify drivers of performance and guide appropriate tactical actions to improve financial outcomes. The team partners with Retail Finance teams in the US for functions such as Global FP&A, Store Operations, Merchandising and Supply Chain.
We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Sr Analyst to support the Test & Learn measurement team within FDS&A. This role will be responsible for partnering heavily with Retail Finance leaders and solving for complex Test & Learn in strategic initiatives which includes test design, holistic measurement and analysis that delivers insights on initiative performance. The role enables the business partners to make informed decisions based on root cause drivers of performance by working with functional partners, at the same time staying objective and pushing back wherever required.
The successful candidate will be a creative thinker with a strong bias to action and should over index on collaborating and driving conversations across Finance. This role requires a self-starter with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. The candidate should have a proven track record of influencing and supporting decisions in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Execute on test design, setting up test & learn measurement frameworks.
Act as a mentor/problem solver for the team members in situations where they are stuck.
Should have the ability to influence team members without authority
Proactively explore new ways to analyze and measure performance of enterprise strategic objectives.
Quickly grasps the test descriptions and is able to recommend tangible, usable actionable outputs
Elevate the work of the team by proactively identifying inefficiencies, which is followed by ideating and executing a solution that improves the situation
Proactively perform deep dives to understand root cause
Provide tactical support for key executive meetings
Execute function specific event/initiative analysis, reporting and measurement
Work with large, complex and disparate data sources to draw meaningful inferences and insights
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's/Masters in Business, Finance, Science, Engineering or related Quantitative fields
Hands-on experience in Python coding and the capability of optimizing/debugging Python Codes is a must
Strong SQL Skills, should be able to optimize queries and handle large datasets and complex metrics.
3-6 years of prior experience in an analytical role with good knowledge of key finance concepts, preferably 2-3 years in Retail
Strong data science modeling experience
Advanced knowledge of Excel (Power Pivots, Power Query, VBA)
Executive level deck making skills in powerpoint
Exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills; highly detail oriented
Experience with business intelligence and visualization tools (MicroStrategy, Teradata, PowerBI, TM1)
Strong data collection, collation and cleansing skills using tools like SQL, Python and Hadoop
Demonstrated ability to work independently in a fast-pace environment and manage multiple competing priorities
Excellent communication skills being able to communicate effectively - upward, peers and offshore teams
Good to have :
Hands-on experience in any Statistical Measurement and Analysis (A/B Testing, Test vs Control, Hypothesis Testing) and Knowledge of Statistical Tests is a must.
