Real Estate & Structured Credit Asset Management Role Overview
You will work with the asset management team of a global asset manager, supporting day-to-day operations and performance monitoring of real estate, structured credit, and other investment assets. The role involves close collaboration with investment, legal, and back-office teams, as well as external service providers, to ensure accurate reporting, compliance, and efficient management of the asset lifecycle. Key Responsibilities
Support day-to-day asset management activities, including cash flow monitoring, performance tracking, and execution of business plans
Track asset onboarding and portfolio activities, prepare analyses, and communicate updates to investment and asset management teams
Coordinate with internal teams and third parties on lender reporting, loan covenant monitoring, and compliance with credit agreements
Review and reconcile financial statements, servicer reports, borrowing base calculations, and waterfall/distribution reports
Assist with funding and distribution activities and enhance operational efficiency across internal and external teams
Prepare periodic performance reports for real estate and structured credit assets
Support technology implementations, validating chart of accounts, trial balance mappings, and financial statement roll-ups during onboarding
Manage third-party workflows and ensure accurate partner reporting
Suggest value enhancements and process improvements across the asset lifecycle Skills & Experience
1 4 years of experience in real estate, structured credit, or asset management operations
Strong accounting knowledge and understanding of financial reporting, statements, and performance metrics
Ability to read and interpret legal/investment documents (leases, loan agreements, JV agreements, offering circulars, term sheets, pooling & servicing agreements, SWAP/hedge agreements)
Strong analytical skills and understanding of investment performance drivers
Advanced MS Excel skills and ability to prepare financial analyses and reports
Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple tasks and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders Preferred Qualifications
Hands-on experience with ABS, CDO, MBS, or other structured credit products
Familiarity with Bloomberg, Yardi, Argus, CoStar, RealPage, Tableau, or Alteryx
CFA / CAIA / CPA / MBA or equivalent qualification in Finance or Accounting
