Job Description

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Perform general accounting activities and record financial transactions


2. Perform analysis and reconciliations of accounts as necessary for any discrepancies


3. Record month end Journal entries such as accruals, prepayment amortization, receipts, and payments


4. Prepare monthly Balance Sheet schedule and analyze, identify and resolve issues in any unreconciled balances


5. Reconcile Bank Statement with General ledger and resolve open items


6. Identify Fixed Assets transactions and record capitalization and depreciation entries based on accounting policy


7. Assist Operations, Property Accounting, Financial Reporting and provide data to internal and external audit requests for areas handled


8. Preparation of quarterly and year- end financial statement for the REITs as per US GAAP. 9. Prepare tax-related schedules such as Tax Reporting Schedules (TRS) and Trial Balance (TB), ensuring accuracy and adherence to regulatory requirements.


10. Ensure timely closing of month-end books


11. Provide adequate support to auditors (internal/external) and address various audit inquiries as needed


12. Participate in process improvement initiatives, including automation


13. Implement successful intercompany transition of activity from local entities into central finance function


14. Perform such other accounting related functions that may be assigned from time to time.



QUALIFICATIONS AND TECHNICAL SKILLSETS:

Holds a B Com degree with Grade A. Do not hold a CA qualification but have 4-6 years of relevant experience in: Preparing and analysing financial statements. Assisting with tax-related queries Hands-on General Ledger and Sub ledger accounting experience Strong knowledge of GAAP/IFRS and tax compliance processes. Application based knowledge of key finance concepts and ability to leverage them to manage simple and standard queries related to finance processes and reports Improve processes pertaining to recording, adjusting, and reconciling financial transactions and events Expertise knowledge and ability to analyse financial statements and data to prepare financial performance reports, understand business concepts and internal tools. Expertise in MS Office, Excel specifically Experience in property management software, such as Yardi is a plus Ability to understand individual goals and their alignment to the organizational objectives.

NOTES:

Prefer candidates already residing in Bangalore * Standard Shift Timing is 12noon to 9pm, however this may vary depending on the business requirements
