Corporate Markets business are looking to recruit a Senior Analyst Performance and Attribution (Fund Solutions) to support the growing fund administration business based in Mumbai. The Senior Analyst Performance and Attribution will monitor the calculation of account and composite returns and assist with the reconciliation and resolution of performance discrepancies.
The Senior Analyst's primary focus will be to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of the performance data.
The Senior Analyst will monitor and resolve account-level return issues, including the review of transactions and their impact of performance returns.
The Senior Analyst will serve as contact for performance inquiries from clients, consultants, and custodians.
The Senior Analyst troubleshoots problems, identifies trends and seeks opportunities for process improvements and enhanced reporting.
The role needs to work in APAC Shift and there would be shifts starting at 04:30 AM IST.
Key Accountabilities and main responsibilities
Strategic Focus To ensure SLA for BAU activities are strictly adhered, maintain good working relationships with colleagues, collaborate with others to achieve the team's goals
Operational Management Ensure all internal and external service levels and regulatory deadlines are met within the Asset Operations team
Ensure accurate reflection of transactions on performance and research and resolve issues on a timely basis
Perform ongoing validation checks to ensure quality and accuracy of return calculations
Work with other teams to resolve data discrepancies in a timely manner
Troubleshoot outliers and correct rate of return discrepancies as needed
Create controls around operational policies and procedures for consistency of processing
Validate index/asset pricing and the resulting returns
Address ad-hoc performance inquiries from internal and external parties
Assist on special projects
Remain current on performance-related topics and trends
Assist on the GIPS verification, as needed
Respond to enquiries promptly, proactively handling issues, and striving for the highest levels of customer service
Learn, Maintain, and update relevant systems and data bases, participating in pre and post system testing for enhancements as required
Understanding compliance and adhere to all legislative, procedural, industry, financial and client specific procedures, where relevant, to minimise risk and escalate non-adherence as per the escalation matrix.
Understand the risk factors of activity performed in the function and raise any possible undocumented risk in the function. Post which takes part of discussion with internal and external stakeholders to form controls to mitigate the risk, if required.
Drive, Suggest and Identify process improvements that positively impact efficiencies, quality standards and customer experience across the business
Participate as a positive member of the team and maintain good working relationships with colleagues, including cooperating with others to achieve the team's goals, providing support, and assisting other teams across the business as required
Complete mandatory training by the required due date and participate in training relating to changes in procedures, company policy, values, cross skilling and updates to tools and systems used by the business

Complete in-depth investigations as appropriate and as instructed
People Leadership Work collaboratively across the firm to achieve the Goals of the team / company
Governance & Risk To assist with query handling, quality error analysis, identify root cause and help with solutions to close the gaps.
Experience & Personal Attributes
Essential Knowledge of Fund Administration and the regulatory environment
Prior Factset software experience required: must understand data elements in Geneva that drive investment performance (e.g. transaction, security, performance storage)
Experience with performance measurement systems an asset
Working knowledge of investment performance concepts required
Working knowledge of GIPS concepts strongly preferred
Experience working with security data across financial markets, including equities and fixed income
Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft applications (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Excellent verbal and written communication
The ability to work to strict deadlines whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy
Proven ability to operate independently and take the initiative
A bachelor's or master's degree in business or finance or banking related discipline from a reputed College/University.
Basic understanding of relevant industry knowledge and commercial impacts
Willingness to work in APAC Shift and there would be shifts starting at 04:30 AM IST.

Minimum Four to Eight years of performance measurement and reporting experience for an investment management firm.
Fund accounting background an asset
