Metro Global Solution Center (MGSC) is internal solution partner for METRO, a EUR31 Billion international wholesaler with operations in more than 30 countries. The store network comprises a total of 623 stores in 21 countries, of which 522 offer out-of-store delivery (OOS), and 94 dedicated depots. In 12 countries, METRO runs only the delivery business by its delivery companies (Food Service Distribution, FSD).
MGSC, location wise is present in Pune (India), Dusseldorf (Germany) and Szczecin (Poland). We provide HR, Finance, IT & Business operations support to 31 countries, speak 24+ languages and process over 18,000 transactions a day. Monthly closing
Timely closure of books every month/ based on group calendar and accounting guidelines.

• Preparation of accruals and accounting
• Checking of Bank reconciliation statement
• Fixed Asset capitalization
• Depreciation accounting
• Revaluation of currency every quarter
• Scrutiny of books of accounts
• IFRS Accounting for applicable standards

GL scrutiny

• Assistance in Monthly GL scrutiny
• Employee advance/Travel advance
• Payroll liabilities, Tax - GST, and TDS accounts, Tax receivable accounts
• Balance sheet reconciliation

Direct Tax

• Checking the ETDS payments and returns
• Preparation of Withholding tax calculations including TDS on Non Resident payments identifying under current laws. ( DTAA and Section 195)
• Timely payment of TDS for domestic and foreign payments
• Assistance in Preparation for annual corporate tax return and ?ling of return
• Assistance in Transfer pricing audit and Transfer pricing compliances
• Assistance in Preparing advance tax computation
• Preparation of Advance tax calculations
• Assistance in handling demand, refund and rectification cases.
• Issuing form 16 A every qtr.
• Assistance in Domestic TDS compliance reconciliation for Tax Audit under Clause 34(a) and Clause 44.
• Assistance in preparation for response for Notices related to Income tax Assessment.
• Assisting in other tax compliances such as filing SFT forms, compliance reports, Form 61 etc.
• Manage the tax accounting process, including the calculation of deferred tax assets and liabilities, and ensure compliance with financial reporting standards.

Indirect Tax

• Preparing GST returns
• Preparing monthly GST computations and timely payment of GST
• Preparing monthly GST refund claim
• Assistance in Handling old VAT/ Service tax returns and refund claims
• Expensing out non allowed entries for GST Payments
• Ensure that team does Statutory payments with in due dates -TDS, GST, ESI, PF, advance

tax, Profession tax etc.

• Verifying employee reimbursements, F&F and other employee payments

Managerial Requirements
Good communication skills
Should be able to lead and support the direct reportees if assigned
Thorough understanding of local tax laws and regulations.
Prompt and proactive - Should be prompt and proactive on communication and coordination with internal/external stakeholders
Good analytical skills with eye for detail
Qualifications
Quali?cations:

• CA inter with 6-7 years of relevant experience in corporate ?nance team, preferably of an MNC in service sector
• Good knowledge of India accounting - IGAAP, knowledge of IFRS needed.
• Good knowledge of local tax structures - Corporate tax, TDS, GST, Transfer pricing, VAT
• SAP -Must have working experience of at least 2-3 year of accounting in SAP
