About the role

You will be a part of the Division Asia P&C Reserving team in Bangalore and will have ample opportunity to apply your technical actuarial, modelling and data analytics skills across a variety of activities outlined below. You will work in collaboration with Reserving actuaries based in Asia and Globally. You will collaborate closely regularly with other functions and departments such as Underwriting, Client Management, Claims, Technical Accounting, Finance and Risk Management.

The job responsibilities include the following:

  • Quarterly reserves analysis for business
  • Reporting of quarterly results to senior management and the Reserve Committee
  • Yearly estimation of payment patterns for Economic Value Management
  • Review of actuarial statutory reporting requirements from IRDAI Non-Life business.
  • Line-manager responsibilities over 4 actuarial resources
  • Handle the production of various monitoring and control reporting
Interaction with other parties:
  • Continuous collaboration with actuaries from various Asia locations, with specific focus on the India market
  • Regular liaison meetings with other departments such as Underwriting, Client Management, Claims, Operations, Finance and Risk Management
  • Assist in developing global approaches for monitoring & control reporting - harmonizing where reasonable across the regional reserving team
About the Team :

The Asia Reserving team is part of Actuarial & Reserving P&C Re, Bangalore Division and falls under the Global Actuarial & Reserving P&C Re function.

About you:
  • 4+ years of experience in the P&C actuarial domain
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Physics or equivalent field
  • Steady progress with actuarial exams
  • Experience in statutory reporting for P&C branch entities, India market experience an advantage
  • Excellent knowledge of insurance accounting principles
  • Strong data processing and analytical skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong organization skills.
