USI DT Cloud Operations is responsible automate, monitor, design and manage across CSP IaaS configuration which ensure consistency across integrated systems and increase efficiency. The Cloud Operations team flexes to support business-lead software development while bringing to bear best practices which streamline and fully automate the processes.
Cloud Operations team is the team responsible for establishing and maintaining consistency of a product's performance, functional, and physical attributes with its requirements, design, and operational information throughout its life across all major CSP's (Azure, AWS and GCP, also including VDI solutions hosted under AWS Workspace. In your role as the Cloud engineer you will be responsible for participation in selection and implementation of tools and processes which enable rapid development and deployment of configuration policies. Your mission is to embrace continuous integration/deployment in a delivery pipeline that will perform automated quality checks, provision cloud infrastructure and applications quickly, and provide operational tooling and metrics that can be consumed by stakeholder teams. An ideal candidate for this role will have a blend of development and operational experience that provides them with a good understanding of the developers they are working with, while also balancing customer satisfaction and maintaining critical systems .
In this role you will partner with peers in Cloud Platform teams, Developers, QA, Support and Operations teams to deliver a fully automated end-to-end application lifecycle management process.
Role Specific Responsibilities
Develop, support, and maintain applications and technology solutions.
Basic knowledge in handling incidents/request within ServiceNow in line with ITIL standards
Strong troubleshooting skills of issues across any of the 3 main cloud platforms (Azure, AWS & GCP giving paramount importance towards end user resolution and satisfaction
Strong automation skillsets using automation tools such as Kubernetes (good to have)
Ability to represent team over major incident calls and able to isolate issues and provide possible in-scope resolution
Ensure all development efforts meet or exceed client expectations. Applications should meet requirements of scope, functionality, and time and adhere to all defined and agreed upon standards.
Use team project management methodology and processes to develop and test product features. Standard team development and testing tools will be used.
Worked on any of the agile methodologies (SAFe, Scrum, Kanban, XP), participate in daily SCRUM calls and provide task updates.
Develop supporting and other KT documents and materials, as required.
Develop and maintain internal project documentation.
Encourage collaborative efforts and camaraderie with on-shore and off-shore team members.
Assist with project team duties as required from user story creation to development to deployment to application maintenance
Should be flexible working in night shifts covering 247*365 days
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Business Information Systems or relevant experience and accomplishments
2-5 years of experience in the IT field
Experience with using a broad range of Azure, AWS and GCP services, VDI solutions (AWS Workspaces)
Working experience in services such as RBAC, Blueprint, Policies, Recovery Service Vaults, Public IP, Load Balancers, API Management, Management Groups, Policy, Virtual Networks, Functions, IAM, EC2, ELB, RDS, Lambda, Guard duty & S3 and GCP IAM, Functions, Service Accounts, VPC, Compute, Storage, Stack driver, Big Query. Knowledge of GCP Dialog flow Service is a plus.
Experience in VDI solutions like AWS workspaces
Automating tasks using Azure Dev-Ops, PowerShell or Python (good to have)
Strong knowledge of Dev-Op's methodologies.
Infrastructure and Application monitoring across production and non-production platforms
Monitoring the alerts of the public clouds and working closely with the security team.
Experience with DevOps Orchestration/Configuration/Continuous Integration Management technologies
Knowledge on hybrid public cloud design concepts
Very good understanding of Cloud IaaS, PaaS services
Familiarity with monitoring tools
Problem Solving: Ability to analyze and resolve complex infrastructure resource and application deployment issues.
Excellent communication skills, understanding customer needs, negotiations skills, Vendor management skills
