About the role
We are looking for an experienced Senior AI Scientist to join our Department: Project Systems and partner closely with engineering, CQV, quality, and project controls teams. We are currently a team of skilled Individuals with peers and Lead Data Scientist in Denmark and India. You will lead the design and deployment of production-grade AI and automation-unlocking smarter workflows across design, construction, commissioning, qualification and validation (CQV), operations, and asset management. You'll own the full lifecycle from opportunity framing to impact tracking, with a strong emphasis on GxP compliance, data integrity, and scalable architectures.

How you might spend your days
As a Senior AI Scientist, you'll be:
Leading AI-first solutions: Designing agentic workflows and LLM-powered assistants for engineering, CQV, and quality use cases (e.g., automated documentation, deviation analysis, predictive maintenance, specification assistants).
Ensuring compliance: Embedding GxP/CSV controls (21 CFR Part 11, Annex 11), model risk management, and ALCOA+ data integrity into AI solutions.
Driving adoption: Establishing enablement frameworks-training, playbooks, prompt libraries, evaluation harnesses, safety/guardrails-and mentoring AI practitioners.
Partnering for impact: Working with project directors, engineering managers, and quality leads to prioritise high-ROI use cases; defining KPIs and measuring business outcomes.
Owning the product mindset: Road mapping, vendor evaluation, make/buy decisions, and evolving standards for reusable AI components across projects.

Qualifications
Core Requirements

• 3+ years in applied ML/AI; 1+ years hands-on with LLMs/GenAI in production.
• Strong Python (FastAPI, Pydantic), SQL, and modern ML stack (PyTorch/TensorFlow, scikit-learn).
• Proven track record of shipping AI systems with measurable impact.
• Understanding of GxP/CSV, 21 CFR Part 11/Annex 11, access control, and data privacy.

Cloud Experience * Minimum 2 years with a major cloud vendor (Azure, GCP, or AWS).

• Bonus: Azure Cloud AI services and Cloud Solution Architecture.

Data Solutions

• Mandatory: SQL and relational databases (PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MySQL).
• Bonus: NoSQL (Cosmos DB, MongoDB), Redis, Microsoft Fabric.

Vibe Coding * Bonus: Experience with Vibe Coding and asynchronous collaboration.
Nice to have

• Domain experience in pharma engineering, CQV, manufacturing/quality, or EPCM.
• Retrieval at scale (chunking strategies, hybrid search, re-ranking), knowledge graphs, and multi-agent orchestration.
• Computer vision for construction/progress tracking or laboratory/production contexts.
• MLOps / LLMOps
• Nice to have: MLflow, LangChain/LlamaIndex, model registries, CI/CD, monitoring.
