The Senior Advocate will lead and manage all real estate legal matters including property documentation, regulatory compliance, dispute resolution, and legal advisory. The role involves ensuring legal accuracy, minimizing risks, and supporting business operations with timely legal strategies.
Key Responsibilities1. Real Estate Legal Advisory
Provide expert legal guidance on property acquisitions, land due diligence, joint ventures, and project development.
Review and draft agreements including sale deeds, lease deeds, MoUs, development agreements, and conveyance documents.
Ensure compliance with RERA, local municipal laws, and other real estate regulations.
2. Litigation & Dispute Management
Handle civil, revenue, and property-related litigation matters.
Represent the company/clients before courts, tribunals, RERA authorities, and government bodies.
Draft notices, replies, petitions, and written statements.
3. Documentation & Contract Management
Vetting and drafting of legal documents, commercial contracts, and property-related paperwork.
Conduct title verification and prepare title search reports.
Review builder-buyer agreements and ensure legal soundness.
4. Compliance & Risk Mitigation
Ensure all legal processes comply with state and central real estate laws.
Identify legal risks and develop strategies for mitigation.
Liaise with government departments for approvals and clearances.
5. Stakeholder Coordination
Collaborate with internal teams, external advocates, and regulatory authorities.
Assist management in negotiations and client meetings.
Required Skills & Qualifications
LLB/LLM from a recognized university.
8-15 years of strong experience in
real estate and property law
.
Excellent drafting, negotiation, and advocacy skills.
Strong understanding of RERA, land laws, and registration processes.
Ability to handle complex legal matters independently.
Strong communication and analytical skills.
Preferred Attributes
Experience in real estate companies, law firms, or independent real estate practice.
Ability to manage high-volume documentation and multiple cases simultaneously.
Detail-oriented and proactive in problem-solving.
