Job Title: Senior Administrator Purchasing

The Impact You'll Make
As our Senior Purchase Administrator ( Purchase Engineer), you will ensure a seamless supply chain for critical materials, enabling on-time production and cost-effective operations that drive Semikron Danfoss India's manufacturing efficiency.
You'll collaborate with production team, stores, quality control, and design engineers internally, plus external vendors and suppliers for procurement and logistics.
What You'll Be Doing

• Creating purchase orders based on material requirements and Bill of Materials (BOM) to support production timelines.
• Conducting enquiries, soliciting quotations, assessing availability, and negotiating with vendors for optimal pricing and supply.
• Following up on deliveries, quality checks, samples, approvals, and resolving shortages for hardware or other materials.
• Updating SAP entries for import purchases, BOM costing, and inventory management.
• Coordinating on design issues, quality concerns, and transportation challenges with internal teams and external partners.
• New Vendor Development

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 5 to7 years in purchasing/procurement within engineering or manufacturing sectors.
• University degree (Graduate or Postgraduate) in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics Engineering.
• Proficiency in SAP MM HANA module for procurement, purchase orders, and inventory management.
• Strong negotiation skills and solid understanding of material specifications, market prices, supplier data, and commercial laws.
• Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills for vendor coordination and cross-team collaboration.
