Job Summary

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial records, compliance with statutory requirements, and supporting financial reporting for the manufacturing unit. The role involves cost accounting, inventory accounting, taxation, and coordination with auditors.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain and finalize books of accounts including

GL, AP, AR, and Bank Reconciliation

Prepare

monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements

Handle

cost accounting

, product costing, and variance analysis Monitor and account for

inventory, WIP, and finished goods

Ensure accurate accounting of

production, consumption, and scrap

Manage

GST compliance

including returns, reconciliations, and assessments Handle

TDS, Income Tax, and statutory compliances

GST1,GST 2B,GST 3B experience preferred. Coordinate with

internal and external auditors

Prepare

MIS reports

for management review Ensure compliance with

Companies Act, Accounting Standards, and internal controls

Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management Supervise and guide junior accounting staff Liaise with banks, vendors, and government authorities as required

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com)

- Mandatory

M.Com / CA (Inter) / CMA (Inter)

- Preferred

2-8 years

of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment Strong knowledge of

manufacturing accounting and taxation

Skills & Competencies

Proficiency in

Tally / ERP systems

Strong knowledge of

GST, TDS, Income Tax

Good understanding of

costing and inventory management

Advanced skills in

MS Excel

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Attention to detail and accuracy Ability to meet deadlines and work independently

Working Conditions

Full-time, office-based role May require coordination with plant/production teams
