1. Recording Transactions

Systematic documentation:

Accountants record all business transactions--ranging from daily sales to major expenses--in a structured and organized manner.

Reconciliation:

They reconcile accounts to ensure accuracy and resolve any discrepancies between financial records.

2. Preparing Financial Statements

Report generation:

Accountants prepare essential financial reports such as the balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statement.

Closing processes:

They manage monthly, quarterly, and annual closing procedures to finalize financial results for each period.

3. Analyzing and Forecasting

Financial analysis:

Accountants analyze financial data to assess a company's performance, stability, and growth potential.

Budgeting and forecasting:

They create budgets and financial forecasts to guide future operations and support informed decision-making.

4. Ensuring Regulatory Compliance

Tax preparation:
