Senior Accounts Assistant -
Job Summary
The Senior Accounts Assistant is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting accounting operations, and assisting in the preparation of financial reports. The role ensures compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and statutory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain books of accounts, including journal entries, ledger posting, and reconciliations
Prepare and verify invoices, vouchers, bills, and payment documents
Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable
Perform bank, cash, and vendor reconciliations
Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing
Support preparation of financial statements and MIS reports
Handle GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B) and coordinate for filings
Assist in TDS calculations, deductions, and returns
Ensure compliance with statutory and internal audit requirements
Coordinate with auditors, vendors, and internal departments
Maintain proper documentation and filing of financial records
Guide and supervise junior accounts staff when required
Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and GST
Proficiency in Tally, ERP systems, and MS Excel
Good analytical and problem-solving skills
Attention to detail and accuracy
Good communication and coordination skills
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fresher
Pay: ₹15,500.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
