The Senior Accounting Analyst is responsible for monthly journal entries, month-end accounting and working with treasury to update the cash forecast throughout the month. As well as assisting with quarterly and year end audit preparations, performing analytical review and other accounting duties as assigned. The ideal candidate would have excellent analytical skills, and have strong working knowledge of US GAAP and local GAAP.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare journal entries, schedules and account reconciliations for month-end closing in accordance with corporate deadlines
  • Analyze and research monthly trend analysis, balance sheet and income statement account fluctuations and assist with providing explanations for significant or unusual changes in balances
  • Participate in the preparation and review of monthly reports/analyses to Management
  • Prepare TDS and GST bookings, reconciliations, for regulatory filings. Prepare and analyze key metrics for the India Cash Forecasting process on a weekly basis
  • Vendor invoices payment and recording
  • Coordinate with audit and tax consultants for various filings
  • Manage annual external audit complying to GAAP requirements
  • Perform work to maintain Internal Audit/SOX compliance
  • Complete local statutory compliance requirements
  • Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Chartered Accountant with atleast 5 years of related accounting and tax experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce or Finance
  • Experience with computerized accounting applications and spreadsheets
  • Experience with TDS and GST bookings and filings
  • Experience with accounting for foreign currency transactions and FX gains/losses
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently
  • Experience with NetSuite ERP a plus, or other enterprise level financial software systems is required
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and apply problem solving skills as well as able to work in a team environment
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
