The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, and supporting the resort's financial health through effective financial practices and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:Accounting & Bookkeeping
Manage
end-to-end accounting operations
including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and reconciliation.
Maintain accurate books of accounts using
Tally
and
ERP software
(knowledge of
IDS
is an added advantage).
Prepare and verify
monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
.
Taxation & Compliance
Ensure timely and accurate
filing of GST returns
and
compliance with Goods and Services Tax
regulations.
Handle
Income Tax
and
other statutory tax filings
, ensuring compliance with government norms.
Maintain updated knowledge of
PF (Provident Fund)
and
ESI (Employee State Insurance)
procedures and ensure timely submission of returns.
Payroll & Employee Finance
Manage
monthly payroll processing
in coordination with HR and ensure statutory deductions are handled accurately.
Maintain records related to employee salary structures, PF/ESI contributions, and reimbursements.
Licensing & Documentation
Oversee
Trade License renewals
and ensure compliance with all local regulatory requirements.
Maintain proper
paper filing systems
and
digital records
for easy retrieval and audits.
Vendor & Cash Handling
Verify and process
vendor bills
, ensuring timely payments and record-keeping.
Manage and reconcile
petty cash
and ensure proper documentation of expenditures.
Reporting & Auditing
Assist in the
preparation of budgets
, forecasts, and financial analysis reports.
Coordinate with external auditors during audits and provide necessary documentation.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree
in Accounting, Commerce, or related field (B.Com / M.Com preferred).
Minimum
3-5 years of experience
in a similar accounting role, preferably in the
hospitality or hotel industry
.
Proficiency in
Tally ERP
,
Microsoft Excel
, and general ERP systems.
Knowledge of
IDS (Hotel ERP)
is a strong advantage.
Strong understanding of
GST, income tax, payroll, PF, ESI, and licensing regulations
.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and work independently.
Working Conditions:
Location: On-site at the resort in Ooty.
6-day working week (resort operation days).
May require extended hours during audits or month-end closures.
Compensation:
Competitive salary based on experience and qualifications.
