The Senior Accountant is responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with statutory requirements, and supporting audits and financial planning.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Payroll
Manage general ledger, journal entries, and account reconciliations
Ensure timely closure of books and accurate reporting
Handle statutory compliances (GST, TDS, Income Tax, PF, ESI, etc.)
Coordinate with auditors during internal and external audits
Monitor accounts payable and receivable
Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards
Assist management with financial insights and reports
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance
CA / CMA / M.Com (preferred)
Experience
4-7 years of relevant accounting experience
Experience in corporate or audit firm environment preferred
Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and Indian statutory laws
Proficiency in accounting software (Tally, SAP, Oracle, or similar)
Advanced MS Excel skills
Attention to detail and accuracy
Good communication and coordination skills
Ability to meet deadlines and work independently
