About the Role

We are seeking a meticulous and principled Senior Accountant to establish and lead the accounting function for the Shah Group of companies from our Hyderabad office. This is a foundational role for a seasoned professional who is passionate about building processes, ensuring absolute financial integrity, and safeguarding company assets. The successful candidate will be responsible for the complete accounting cycle and will play a critical role in implementing stringent financial controls.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Financial Management:

Oversee the complete accounting function for multiple group entities, including bookkeeping, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations. Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) in compliance with Indian accounting standards. Manage direct and indirect taxation (GST, TDS, Income Tax) filings and ensure timely compliance. Coordinate with statutory auditors for the annual audit process.

Internal Controls & Vigilance:

Design, implement, and enforce robust internal financial controls and policies. Conduct regular audits of expenses, procurement, and payments to ensure policy adherence. Proactively investigate discrepancies, identify areas of financial risk, and take corrective action. Uphold a zero-tolerance policy towards financial malpractice, with a mandate to identify and report irregularities.

Team Leadership & Process Building:

Build and mentor a small, high-integrity accounting team as business needs grow. Establish standardized accounting procedures and workflows across the group. Act as the primary point of contact for all finance-related matters for group leadership.

Candidate Profile & Requirements

Education:

Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification or a Master's in Commerce (M.Com) with substantial experience.

Experience:

8-12 years of progressive experience in accounting, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role. Experience in a multi-entity environment is preferred.

Work Hours & Logistics

Schedule:

50 hours per week. Core business hours align with 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM CST (US Central Time), which translates to

6:30 PM to 4:30 AM IST

. This schedule is mandatory to coordinate with the US-based leadership.

Mode:

Strictly in-person at our Hyderabad office.

Compensation & Growth

Fixed Monthly Salary:

?40,000

Performance-Linked Bonus:

Up to ₹10,000 per month, based on defined targets related to accuracy, control implementation, and audit outcomes.

Total Annual Compensation:

?4.8 Lakhs (fixed) + up to ₹1.2 Lakhs (variable) =

up to ₹6.0 Lakhs per annum.

Growth Path:

This is a leadership role with significant responsibility. As the Shah Group expands, the position is expected to grow into a Head of Finance or CFO role for the Indian operations, with a corresponding review of compensation and team size.

We recognize that this offer is below the market average for a Chartered Accountant with 8+ years of experience in Hyderabad.
