The Senior Accountant is responsible for managing key accounting functions, ensuring accuracy and integrity of financial information, and supporting organizational financial operations. With at least three years of experience, the Senior Accountant performs advanced accounting tasks, leads month-end activities, prepares financial reports, and supports compliance with regulations and standards. This role also provides guidance to junior accounting staff.
monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Ensure accurate maintenance of
general ledger accounts
Perform
complex account reconciliations
, including bank, payroll, and intercompany accounts
Review and verify
journal entries
, adjusting entries, and supporting documentation
Manage
month-end and year-end close processes
Budgeting & Analysis
Assist in
budget preparation
, forecasting, and variance analysis
Provide financial insights to management for decision-making
Monitor spending, cost allocation, and financial performance indicators
Compliance & Audit
Ensure compliance with
GAAP
, company policies, and regulatory requirements
Prepare documentation and support
internal and external audits
Maintain accurate and organized financial records for audit readiness
Accounts Management
Oversee
accounts payable and accounts receivable
functions
Review vendor and client accounts, ensuring timely payments and collections
Monitor
expense reports
, reimbursements, and cash flow activities
Process Improvement
Evaluate existing accounting processes and recommend efficiency improvements
Assist in system upgrades, accounting software enhancements, and automation initiatives
Leadership & Collaboration
Provide oversight and mentoring to
junior accountants and accounting assistants
Collaborate with other departments (HR, operations, procurement, etc.)
Prepare financial presentations for management when required
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Minimum 3 years accounting experience
(corporate, hospitality, or related industries)
Strong knowledge of
GAAP
and internal controls
Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, Xero, etc.) and
MS Excel
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
