Job Description

The Senior Accountant is responsible for managing and overseeing all accounting and financial operations within the infrastructure projects. The role involves maintaining accurate books of accounts, monitoring project expenses, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with statutory regulations. The candidate should have strong knowledge of project accounting, vendor billing, and cost control related to construction and infrastructure works.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain and monitor day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, receivable, bank reconciliation, and general ledger. Handle project-wise accounting, cost allocation, and expense tracking for infrastructure projects. Prepare and finalize monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Manage vendor invoices, subcontractor bills, and client billing in coordination with the project and site teams. Review and verify purchase orders, work orders, and material inward reports for accuracy. Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, PF, ESI, and other statutory requirements. Coordinate with auditors for internal and statutory audits. Manage cash flow, fund allocation, and bank transactions. Prepare MIS reports, budget comparisons, and project cost analysis for management review. Support management with financial planning, projections, and cost-saving strategies. Maintain Tally/ERP accounting records and ensure all entries are accurate and up to date.
