Job Description

Vazhikatti Mental Health Centre, a leading specialty psychiatric hospital in Coimbatore, is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to take full ownership of the Accounts Department. This is a leadership role with direct responsibility for all accounting functions and supervisory responsibility for an Accounts Assistant.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage day-to-day accounting operations including payables, receivables, payroll, bank reconciliations, and ledger management.

- Maintain accurate income and expense records using Tally.

- Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

- Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, PF, ESI, and other statutory requirements.

- Liaise with auditor and provide necessary documentation to meet audit requirements.

- Train, guide, and monitor the Accounts Assistant to ensure timely and accurate work.

- Implement internal controls and support management with financial reports and budgets.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance (Master's degree or professional certification preferred).

- 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience with at least 2 years in a senior role.

- Hands-on experience with Tally and proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.

- Strong knowledge of Indian accounting standards and statutory compliance.

- High integrity, accuracy, and ability to work independently.
