Retail Industry
. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily accounting operations, managing reconciliations, handling statutory compliances, and supporting financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage day-to-day accounting operations including accounts payable, receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Ensure compliance with statutory tax requirements (GST, TDS, Income Tax filings, etc.).
Handle internal and external audits and ensure timely closure.
Inventory accounting and coordination with stores for stock audits.
Maintain accurate records of financial transactions and ensure proper documentation.
Assist in budgeting, cost control, and variance analysis.
Liaison with banks and financial institutions for routine transactions.
Work closely with the finance team and report to the Accounts Manager/Finance Head.
Candidate Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in commerce/finance (B.Com, M.Com, MBA Finance)
5 to 10 years of accounting experience in Retail, FMCG, or similar sectors.
Good knowledge of
Tally ERP / Zoho Books
Strong understanding of GST, TDS, and other statutory compliances.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in MS Excel and reporting tools.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Age up to
45 years
.
Should be currently residing in Chennai
