Job Summary

We're looking for a motivated and detail-oriented

Senior Accountant

with approximately

3 years of experience

to join our accounting & readiness assessment team. In this role, you'll be instrumental in conducting audit engagements, ensuring the accuracy and compliance of client financial records, and supporting the overall audit process. You'll work closely with clients and internal teams, applying your expertise in accounting principles,

GST regulations

, and auditing standards to deliver high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities

Audit Engagement & Execution

Lead portions of audit engagements

from planning to completion for various clients across different industries.

Perform substantive testing

and analytical procedures on financial statements, accounts, and transactions.

Review and analyze clients' financial data

, including general ledger, balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, to identify discrepancies and ensure accuracy.

Assess and evaluate internal controls

to determine their effectiveness and identify potential risks.

Prepare comprehensive audit work papers

that document audit procedures performed, findings, and conclusions, ensuring they meet professional standards.

Identify and communicate audit issues

and recommendations to senior management and clients in a clear and concise manner.

Assist in the preparation of audit reports

and management letters.

Goods and Services Tax (GST) Compliance & Review

Review and verify clients' GST computations, returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9, GSTR-9C, etc.), and reconciliation statements.

Assess client adherence to GST laws, rules, and regulations.

Identify potential GST risks, non-compliance issues, and opportunities for optimization.

Assist clients with GST audit support and notices from tax authorities.

Advise clients on various GST implications for their business operations.

Client Relationship & Communication

Maintain strong client relationships

through effective communication and a commitment to understanding their business needs.
Technical Expertise & Compliance

Apply

Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS)

consistently throughout audit engagements.

Ensure compliance with auditing standards (SA)

issued by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI).

Stay updated on current accounting pronouncements

, auditing standards, and regulatory changes.
Team Collaboration & Mentorship

Collaborate effectively with audit managers and partners

to ensure timely and efficient completion of audit engagements.

Provide guidance and support to junior audit staff

, helping them develop their technical skills and understanding of audit procedures.

Participate in internal training sessions

and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
Process Improvement

Contribute to the continuous improvement

of audit methodologies and processes within the firm.

Identify opportunities for efficiency

and automation in audit tasks.
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce

from an accredited university.

Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience

in external audit within an auditing firm.

Strong understanding of GAAP/Ind AS and Auditing Standards (SA)

Proficiency in accounting software

(e.g., Tally, Zoho Books) and

advanced Microsoft Excel skills

(pivot tables, VLOOKUP, complex formulas).

Pay: ₹12,931.09 - ₹25,000.00 per month
