Desired Skills:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Tax Accountant to review both individual and business tax returns. You will ensure that all tax documents are accurate, complete, and compliant with federal, state, and local tax laws. This role requires extensive experience with various tax forms and a deep understanding of tax regulations.

Review and analyze individual (Form 1040) and business tax returns (Forms 1120, 1120S, 1065, 1041) for accuracy, completeness, and compliance. Identify and resolve discrepancies in tax returns and supporting documentation. Conduct detailed reviews of complex tax issues, including international tax filings and tax reform calculations (e.g., GILTI). Provide guidance and recommendations to the tax preparation team to ensure compliance and process improvement. Stay informed on changes in tax laws and apply relevant updates to the review process. Mentor junior staff members, offering feedback to improve their tax knowledge and skills. Maintain accurate records of review findings, recommendations, and communications with clients. Assist with tax planning and consulting engagements, offering strategic advice to optimize tax positions. At least 3-5 years of experience in tax preparation and review for individuals and businesses. Extensive experience with forms 1120, 1120S, 1065, and 1041, including multistate tax returns. Proficiency in tax software (e.g., Drake, UltraTax, Intuit software, CCH, ProSystem fx) and other relevant tools. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines. Strong knowledge of software like; Pro-series, CCH, lacerte, turbotax, ultratax.

Qualification

Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
