Senior Accountant \xe2\x80\x93 North America Controllership based in India will report to the US Record to Report Manager/Controller responsible for accounting and reporting functions primarily supporting North America Controllership in addition to the larger finance organization.

The Record-to-Report (R2R) organization, operates under the following principles:

  • Ensuring monthly close activities get executed in a well-disciplined, consistent, timely and accurate manner
  • Serving as the interface between the regional/local finance teams and shared services (internal and external)
  • Driving and documenting consistent procedures across our general accounting activities and our use of the general ledger in accordance with our established corporate policies and standards
  • Managing centralized accounting activities; assistance with ad-hoc activities determined on a need basis
What You\xe2\x80\x99ll do on a Typical Day:
  • Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations
  • Manage timely completion of account reconciliation processes and follow-up/resolving open items for specified tasks.
  • Support monthly, quarterly and annual processes under tight timeframes
  • Ensure that accounting records are thoroughly maintained in preparation for audits.
  • Maintain adequate and current documentation of the systems in support of internal control.
  • Maintain a solid working knowledge of technical accounting skills.
  • Participate in Finance related projects as needed.
  • May assume overall responsibility for small size legal entity or regional tasks.
  • Support external and internal audit requests
  • SOX and Internal Control reporting
  • Financial analysis, general analytics and accounting
  • Process improvements (operational and system)
What We\xe2\x80\x99re looking for:
  • 4-6 years of proven accounting and finance experience
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree with concentration in accounting or finance; CA/CPA/MBA is preferred but not required
  • Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Strong accounting and financial acumen with excellent communication skills
  • Experience supporting audits
  • Experience utilizing accounting and finance software (NetSuite and Blackline, preferred)
  • Proficiency with Excel and other MS Office applications
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently from leader
  • Ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple work requirements to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, managers and clients.
  • Professional demeanor with ability to interact with all levels of management
