The Role:

Responding to our growth in the UK we are looking to set up a centre of excellence for accounting in Noida. For this we are looking for a strong candidate reporting to the Finance Director in the UK. This will be the first offshore hire adding to the current accounting team of three.

Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of and drive business-as-usual process excellence in completing and reviewing daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly tasks, including the month-end close
  • Prepare and review monthly balance sheet reconciliations and approve manual journal entries
  • Use financial models and end-user computing tools (EUCs) to determine required month-end adjustments (e.g. EIR, SBP)
  • Support Amplifi\xe2\x80\x99s general tax management practices and reporting.
  • Support senior team members in the preparation of the Annual Report and Accounts
  • Maintain operational procedures to ensure these are accurate and up-to-date
  • Adhere to control frameworks and policies, ensuring that controls are operated effectively
  • Support the wider Finance Operations & Control team with ad-hoc work as and when needed
  • Be actively involved in Finance related process and control improvement initiatives.
  • Respond to queries from stakeholders across Finance and other business areas.
Requirements

Desired skills:
  • You are a qualified accountant (via exam or experience) with experience in the financial month-end close process.
  • You\xe2\x80\x99ll have strong numeric/analytical and spreadsheet skills with great attention to detail, taking pride in the quality of your work.
  • Have the ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • You are a team player and problem solver. You\xe2\x80\x99ll show great initiative to listen, analyse, research, investigate and provide solutions to problems relating to financial and management accounting.
  • Be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Experience in financial services, in particular knowledge of consumer banking products.
  • Experience in UK GAAP would be advantageous.
