Position Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced

Senior Accountant

to join our Head Office team in a leading construction company. The ideal candidate will play a key role in overseeing the company's financial operations, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, preparing financial reports, managing budgets, and supporting project-level accounting activities. This role requires strong analytical skills, construction industry knowledge, and the ability to work collaboratively with site accountants and cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Oversee general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, and journal entries. Monitor and manage cash flow, project costs, and working capital. Prepare budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses for management. Ensure compliance with applicable tax regulations, VAT, and local financial laws. Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities. Support project-level accounting, cost control, and profitability analysis. Maintain fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules. Ensure proper documentation and filing of all financial transactions. Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, as needed. Implement and improve financial controls, processes, and reporting tools. Coordinate with procurement, operations, and project managers to align financial planning with project progress.

Qualifications & Skills:

B. Com, M. Com. CA Intermidiate. Minimum 5-7 years of accounting experience, preferably in the

construction or contracting industry

. Strong understanding of project accounting, cost control, and revenue recognition. Proficiency in accounting software (Tally) Solid knowledge of IFRS / GAAP and local tax laws. Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. High level of accuracy and attention to detail. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
