Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced

Senior Accountant

to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing end-to-end accounting operations, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, maintaining compliance with Indian accounting standards, and supporting strategic business decisions. This role requires strong analytical abilities, a deep understanding of finance processes, and the capacity to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities : Financial Accounting & Reporting

Oversee day-to-day accounting operations including AP, AR, GL, and bank reconciliations. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with

Indian GAAP / Ind AS

. Ensure timely month-end and year-end closing activities. Maintain and reconcile balance sheet schedules.

Compliance & Audit

Ensure compliance with

GST, TDS, Income Tax Act, and other statutory requirements

. Support statutory, internal, and tax audits; coordinate with auditors and ensure accurate documentation. Assist in filing returns and resolving tax-related issues.

Financial Analysis

Monitor budgets vs. actuals and provide variance analysis. Assist in cost optimization initiatives and provide business insights. Support management with financial forecasts and reports.

Process Improvement

Evaluate existing accounting processes and recommend automation or efficiency improvements. Implement strong internal controls and ensure adherence across finance operations.

Stakeholder Collaboration

Work closely with cross-functional teams such as Operations, HR, and Procurement. Liaise with external consultants, auditors, and financial institutions as required.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce. CA / CMA (preferred) or MBA Finance. 5+ years of progressive accounting experience. Strong knowledge of Ind AS, GST, TDS, and statutory compliance. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, SAP, QuickBooks, Oracle, Zoho Books).
