Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Senior Accountant to join our growing team. In this role, you will leverage your accounting expertise alongside your in-depth knowledge of stock trading, equity, and derivatives to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting for our securities portfolio.
Responsibilities:

Good working knowledge on GST and TDS Manage the accounting cycle for financial instruments, including stocks, bonds, options, and futures. Prepare journal entries to record investment transactions, including purchases, sales, dividends, interest payments, and margin activity. Reconcile brokerage statements and ensure the accuracy of investment valuations. Assist with the preparation of financial statements in accordance with accounting standards. Maintain detailed records of all investment activity for audit purposes. Stay up-to-date on relevant accounting pronouncements and regulations related to financial instruments. Collaborate with the investment team to ensure proper accounting treatment of complex financial transactions. May participate in the development and implementation of new accounting policies and procedures for financial instruments. Record and reconcile transactions related to stock trading, equity investments, and derivative instruments in accordance with accounting standards. Monitor changes in fair value and assess the impact on financial statements, including mark-to-market adjustments for trading securities and derivatives. Calculate and recognize investment income, dividends, interest, and other investment-related revenues and expenses.
