The Senior Accountant is responsible for managing end-to-end accounting operations, statutory compliances, finalization of accounts, audits, and financial reporting. The role ensures accuracy, compliance with laws, and timely closure of books.
Key ResponsibilitiesAccounting & Finalization
Maintain
books of accounts
as per accounting standards and company policies
Handle
finalization of accounts
(monthly, quarterly, and annual)
Prepare
trial balance, P&L, balance sheet
, and supporting schedules
Ensure accurate posting of journal entries, provisions, accruals, and adjustments
Statutory & Legal Compliances
Manage statutory compliances including:
o
GST
(Returns, reconciliation, audits)
o
TDS
(deduction, returns, Form 16/16A)
o
Income Tax
(advance tax, assessments, coordination)
o
PF & ESI
compliances and returns
Ensure
timely filing
of all statutory returns and payments
Handle notices, assessments, and departmental queries
Reconciliation
Perform and review:
o
Bank Reconciliation Statements (BRS)
o
General Ledger (GL) reconciliation
o
GST reconciliation
(GSTR-2B, GSTR-3B, books vs returns)
o Vendor, customer, and intercompany reconciliations
Audit & Coordination
Coordinate with
statutory auditors, internal auditors, and tax consultants
Prepare audit schedules, data, and explanations
Ensure closure of audit observations and compliance gaps
Reporting & MIS
Prepare
monthly MIS reports
for management
Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
Provide financial data and reports as required
Other Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with internal controls and SOPs
Support process improvements and system implementation
Handle routine accounting and finance-related activities as assigned
Qualification & Experience
Qualification:
B.Com / M.Com (CA Inter preferred)
Experience:
4-7 years of relevant experience in Accounts & Finance
Experience in
manufacturing / factory environment
preferred
Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of
Indian accounting standards and taxation laws
Hands-on experience with
GST, TDS, PF, ESI
Proficiency in
Tally / ERP / accounting software
and MS Excel
Good analytical, coordination, and communication skills
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
