Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to manage day-to-day financial operations in a precision engineering defence manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of accounting principles, compliance standards, and manufacturing cost structures, with the ability to support audits, vendor payments, and statutory filings. We require people with quantitative skills and passion to work in start-ups. Key Responsibilities

Maintain accurate books of accounts including journal entries, ledgers, and trial balance Handle accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, and vendor payments Prepare monthly financial reports, MIS, and cash flow statements Manage GST, TDS, PF, ESI, and other statutory filings Support internal and external audits, including ISO and defence compliance audits Coordinate with procurement and operations teams for cost tracking and inventory valuation Ensure timely invoicing and follow-up on receivables Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities Maintain documentation for export transactions and liaise with customs authorities Requirements Ability to manage full accounting requirements for a growing company. A minimum work experience of 6 years in accounting capacity. Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance from reputed educational institute Prepare monthly, quarterly Tax returns and other compliance requirements. Experience with a manufacturing/exporting company is preferable. Experience with accounting software is a must. Good interpersonal skills to work with various departments/personnel in the company. Focus on team, flexibility and ability to work under pressure. Experience with startup preferred. Advanced MS Excel skills will be an added quality Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
