About the Role



We're hiring a hands-on Senior Accountant to own end-to-end accounting, tax, and compliance across India, and support global expansion. You'll build tight, automation-first processes across invoicing, expense control, payroll, and revenue reporting for a fast-moving SaaS + consulting business.

You will be the point of ownership for:

End-to-end bookkeeping and monthly close on an agreed timeline Statutory compliance for an Indian private limited company Payroll and people ops coordination via Zoho People and Zoho Payroll Tax filings, reconciliations, and audits readiness Revenue accounting for SaaS subscriptions and consulting projects Cash flow planning and vendor management Controls, documentation, and continuous automation.

Key Responsibilities



Accounting and Close Maintain GL, AR, AP, fixed assets, prepaids, and accruals Own monthly close, trial balance, and management reporting Reconcile bank, payment gateways, and wallets weekly Compliance (India) GST: registrations, monthly/quarterly returns, input credit tracking, e-invoicing where applicable TDS/TCS: calculation, deductions, challans, returns, Form 16/16A Companies Act compliance: board resolutions records, ROC filings support Payroll compliances: PF, ESIC, PT, LWF as applicable Zoho Suite Ownership Zoho Books: chart of accounts, automations, rules, and approvals Zoho People: attendance, leave, CTC structures, policy mapping Zoho Payroll: pay runs, statutory components, FnF, payslips, compliance outputs Revenue and Billing SaaS revenue recognition and deferrals Invoicing and credit notes for subscriptions and consulting SOWs DSO monitoring, dunning workflows, and collections cadence Expenses and Controls Expense policy, approvals, and reimbursements Vendor onboarding, 2-way or 3-way match as relevant Corporate cards and petty cash controls Reporting and Planning Weekly cash flow view and 13-week rolling forecast Monthly MIS: P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, cohort and gross margin insights Support budgeting and variance analysis Audit and Risk Statutory audit and tax audit support with external firms Process documentation, SOPs, and risk controls

Must-Have Qualifications



2+ years in accounting for Indian private limited companies, including GST, TDS, payroll, and ROC support Strong Zoho Books experience plus practical Zoho People and Zoho Payroll ownership Hands-on monthly close and audit prep experience Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills, comfort with CSVs and bulk imports Clear written documentation and ownership mindset

Nice-to-Have (Big Plus)



Exposure to US and EU compliance basics: sales tax/VAT, W-8/W-9, 1099, SOC readiness, EU VAT OSS Experience with SaaS revenue recognition, deferrals, and invoicing at scale Familiarity with Stripe, Razorpay, PayPal, Wise, and gateway reconciliations Worked in a product-led SaaS or agency/consulting environment
