We are looking for an
experienced Senior Accountant
to manage and verify our day-to-day financial activities. The role includes preparing financial reports, handling account reconciliations, maintaining ledgers, supporting tax filings, assisting with audits, and other accounting tasks as needed. The ideal candidate should have strong attention to detail and a solid understanding of accounting principles.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Accounting & Financial Management
Verify sales, purchase, journal, and bank entries for all entities in the accounting software.
Ensure accuracy of financial transactions and maintain integrity in financial records.
Conduct monthly ledger scrutiny, reconciliations, and settlements.
Maintain high precision in books of accounts to avoid discrepancies.
Manage payroll processing, salary slips, and incentive calculations.
Track trademark registration processes and maintain related documentation.
Prepare financial/operational reports for MBMT bus operations.
2. ROC Compliance
Handle director appointment/resignation documentation.
Prepare and submit annual ROC filings for TAPL and MFD LLP.
3. Taxation & Statutory Compliance
Prepare and review monthly/quarterly TDS and GST calculations.
Reconcile tax liabilities with returns (TDS, GST, PT).
Coordinate with CA for monthly/yearly compliance and tax filings.
Respond to tax notices, and assist in handling tax audits and assessments.
Oversee filing of company and individual income tax returns.
4. Internal Control & SOP Management
Draft and update SOPs for accounting processes.
Monitor compliance deadlines and ensure timely submissions.
Collaborate with HR on policy development.
Track payments such as railway tenders and hoarding rent.
Conduct internal audits on purchase and sales activities.
5. Financial Analysis & Forecasting
Analyze company turnover, profitability trends, and GST liabilities.
Assist in budget planning and financial forecasting across entities.
6. Team Leadership & Coordination
Mentor and guide junior accountants in daily operations.
Resolve team queries, foster coordination, and handle conflict resolution.
Ensure smooth workflow in your absence through delegation or planning.
7. Administrative & Miscellaneous Duties
Draft letters/emails to government and private stakeholders.
Manage IREPS tender bidding and vendor registration processes.
Handle funding applications, loan documentation, and bank relationships.
Follow up on MSME payment delays, outstanding TDS/GST dues.
Represent the company in finance-related meetings and external visits.
Maintain decorum and discipline within the workplace.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting/Finance (CA Inter preferred)
5+ years of relevant experience in core accounting and taxation
Proficient in Tally or similar accounting software
Strong knowledge of TDS, GST, ROC, and payroll processing
Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills
Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities
Work Ethic & Conduct Expectations:
Complete tasks daily without delays and take initiative in responsibilities
Avoid personal phone/social media use during work hours
Maintain professionalism and workplace discipline
Avoid unapproved leaves to ensure workflow continuity (except emergencies)
Maintain independence in work without needing director involvement
Qualification-
CMA /CPA/ Graduation[B.com, BMS(finance)]
