Position Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated

Senior Accountant

to join our Finance team. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of accounting principles, hands-on experience with financial reporting, audits, and compliance, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. You will play a key role in ensuring financial accuracy, managing tax filings, supporting strategic financial planning, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage day-to-day accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and bank reconciliations. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards (IND-AS/IFRS/GAAP). Coordinate with external auditors for statutory and internal audits. Ensure timely filing of tax returns including GST, TDS, and Income Tax. Monitor and analyze accounting data, and produce financial reports or statements. Support budgeting and forecasting processes. Assist in evaluating and implementing accounting software, automation tools, or ERP systems. Ensure compliance with internal financial controls and corporate policies. Lead and mentor junior accountants and finance team members as needed. Partner with cross-functional teams (Legal, HR, Sales) for financial alignment.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CA / CMA preferred. 4-6+ years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a SaaS or technology company. Strong knowledge of Indian accounting standards, tax regulations, and statutory compliance. Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Tally, Zoho Books, QuickBooks, SAP, or similar). Advanced MS Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUPs, financial modeling). Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Self-starter with the ability to meet tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with IND-AS or IFRS reporting. Hands-on experience in scaling finance processes in a startup or high-growth environment. Familiarity with contract accounting or legal tech industry is a plus.
