Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented, and experienced
Senior Accountant
to join our finance team at AEIPL Group. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing various accounting tasks, ensuring compliance with Indian tax laws, and maintaining accurate financial records. This role requires strong proficiency in accounting software, particularly Tally, and a solid understanding of GST, TDS, PF, and ESIC regulations.
Key Responsibilities
? Manage and maintain accurate financial records using Tally software.
? Ensure timely and accurate filing of GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, annual returns) and compliance with GST regulations.
? Handle all aspects of TDS compliance, including deduction, deposit, and filing of TDS returns (Form 26Q, 24Q, etc.) within stipulated deadlines.
? Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of transactions and balances.
? Maintain comprehensive ledger accounts, ensuring proper classification and recording of all financial transactions.
? Process sales and purchase entries, including invoicing, recording receipts and payments, and reconciling accounts.
? Assist in the preparation of key financial statements, including Balance Sheets, Profit & Loss Statements, and Cash Flow Statements.
? Monitor accounts receivable and accounts payable, actively follow up on overdue invoices, and contribute to maintaining healthy cash flow.
? Support internal and external audits by assisting in the preparation of audit schedules and providing necessary documentation.
? Stay current with changes in Indian tax laws, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements (GST, TDS, etc.).
? Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement improvements in accounting processes for enhanced efficiency.
? Consult monthly audits and prepare Management Information System (MIS) reports.
? Coordinate with banks for various financial operations.
? Coordinate with clients regarding outstanding payments and resolve discrepancies.
? Help with tender-related paperwork.
Qualifications
? Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
? Minimum of 2-3 years of proven experience as an Accountant, preferably in a similar industry.
? Strong understanding of Indian tax laws, including GST regulations and TDS provisions.
? Proficiency in using Tally ERP.
? Competence in MS Office applications, especially Excel.
? Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
? Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
? Strong verbal and written communication skills.
? Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
? High level of integrity, ethical conduct, and commitment to maintaining confidentiality in financial matters.
