We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Team Leader to supervise and lead a team of accountants. This role involves overseeing the accurate and timely processing of financial transactions and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:-
Supervise and lead a team of accountants, assigning tasks, providing guidance, and conducting performance evaluations to foster professional development.
Ensure timely and accurate processing of financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger entries, GST, and TDS compliance.
Review financial statements, reports, and reconciliations for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as finance, operations, and senior management, to analyze financial data, provide insights, and support strategic decision-making.
Develop and implement accounting procedures, internal controls, and best practices to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of financial processes.
Conduct regular audits of financial transactions and records, including statutory audits, to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions as needed.
Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations, standards, and industry trends, ensuring compliance in financial reporting, tax obligations, GST, and TDS.
Provide training and mentorship to team members to enhance their skills, knowledge, and professional development.
Participate in the budgeting and forecasting process, providing financial insights and recommendations based on historical data and industry trends.
Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements related to financial transactions and reporting.
Drive process improvements to streamline accounting processes, reduce manual tasks, and increase efficiency through automation and technology solutions.
Act as a point of contact for internal and external auditors, providing necessary documentation and addressing any audit findings or recommendations.
Collaborate with finance and HR teams to support payroll processing, tax filings, and benefits administration.
Monitor key financial indicators, identify trends, and prepare financial reports for management review.
Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork, communication, and knowledge sharing within the team.
Qualifications: -
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CA preferred).
3 to 4 years of experience in a CA firm or similar environment.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, GST, TDS, and statutory audit processes.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
