Job Description

The

Senior Accountant

will work closely under the

Finance Manager

to manage and support the company's financial operations. The role involves

payment coordination, collection tracking, Tally entries, and daily accounting activities

, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with company policies.
This position requires a

smart, efficient, and experienced

individual capable of working under pressure while maintaining accuracy in financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Finance & Channel Payment Management

Lead and monitor

channel finance payment processes

with accuracy and timeliness. Coordinate with sales and dealer teams for

payment follow-ups, receipts, and settlements.

Maintain and track

credit limits, outstanding dues, and payment schedules

of dealers. Assist the Finance Manager in preparing

payment forecasts and cash flow planning.

2. Collection Tracking & Sales Coordination

Track

collections from the sales team

and reconcile with outstanding invoices. Prepare

daily/weekly collection reports

and update management on pending collections. Ensure all

sales-related financial data

is accurately updated in Tally and reported on time. Liaise with the sales team to ensure smooth coordination between finance and business operations.

3. Accounting Operations

Handle

day-to-day accounting entries

in

Tally ERP

, including sales, purchases, payments, receipts, and journal entries. Maintain

ledger accuracy, reconciliation, and supporting documentation.

Assist in

month-end and year-end closing activities

, ensuring timely financial reporting. Support in preparation of

GST, TDS, and statutory compliance-related data

for review by the Finance Manager.

4. Reporting & Analysis

Prepare

financial summaries, outstanding statements, and MIS reports

as per management requirements. Support internal and external

audit activities

by providing relevant data and documentation. Ensure

accuracy, confidentiality, and timeliness

in all finance-related reports and communications. Direct reporting to Finance Manager

Required Skills & Competencies:

Strong working knowledge of

Tally ERP (mandatory)

. Sound understanding of

basic accounting principles, reconciliation, and financial reporting.

Good

analytical, coordination, and communication

skills. Ability to

work under pressure

, meet deadlines, and multitask efficiently. Smart, disciplined, and detail-oriented with a

high level of accuracy

. Proficiency in

MS Excel and basic financial tools

.

Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor's degree in

Commerce, Accounting, or Finance

. Minimum

2 years of experience

in accounting or finance operations (mandatory). Experience in

distributor or trading environment

preferred. Candidates

based in Kochi

are strongly preferred. Both
