Job Description

Job Role: Senior Accountant

The Senior Accountant is responsible for managing the company's full set of accounts, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely financial reporting. They oversee daily accounting operations, support audits, enforce financial controls, and guide junior accounting staff.

Key Responsibilities

1.? ?Financial Accounting & Reporting

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

Ensure accuracy of profit & loss, balance sheet, cash flow statements.

Monitor and reconcile all general ledger accounts.

2.? ?Accounts Payable & Receivable Management

Oversee vendor payments and customer billing processes.

Review ageing reports and ensure timely collections.

Verify and approve invoices, purchase orders, and payment vouchers.

3.? ?Bank & Ledger Reconciliation

Perform bank reconciliation statements (BRS) every month.

Ensure ledger entries are accurate and updated.

Identify and resolve discrepancies promptly.

4.? ?Tax Compliance & Statutory Filings

Manage GST, TDS, PF, ESI, and professional tax calculations.

Ensure accurate and timely filing of statutory returns.

Coordinate with auditors and government authorities as needed.

5.? ?Budgeting & Financial Planning

Support preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.

Monitor budget variances and highlight deviations.

Provide financial analysis for management decision-making.

6.? ?Internal Controls & Process Management

Maintain strong internal financial controls.

Review and improve accounting systems and processes.

Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.

7.? ?Audit Support

Prepare schedules and reports required for internal and external audits.

Resolve audit queries and ensure compliance with audit recommendations.

8.? ?Team Leadership & Coordination

Guide and support junior accountants and finance staff.

Provide training on accounting standards, software, and procedures.

Coordinate with HR, operations, procurement, and management teams.

9.? ?Cash & Asset Management

Monitor daily cash flow and fund requirements.

Maintain fixed asset register and handle depreciation calculations.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.

2+ years of experience in core accounting.

Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, and statutory compliances.

Proficiency in accounting software (Tally, ERP, SAP, Zoho Books, etc.).

Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Strong communication and team-handling skills.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ?16,629.63 - ?20,000.00 per month
