Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly skilled

Senior Accountant

with Knowledgeable

in Gulf tax regulations (VAT & Corporate Tax)

to join our remote finance team. This is a

work-from-home

role ideal for candidates with a solid understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax compliance in the

GCC region

. You will play a key role in managing daily accounting functions while ensuring full compliance with local tax laws.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounting & Reporting

Handle day-to-day bookkeeping and general ledger entries. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with

IFRS

. Conduct variance analysis and ensure accuracy in reporting. Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.

Gulf Tax Compliance

Prepare and file

VAT returns

in line with regulations in UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, or other GCC countries. Assist with

Corporate Tax

return preparation and ensure timely compliance under new GCC tax regimes. Stay updated with changes in local tax legislation and apply them to accounting processes. Coordinate with external tax consultants and regulatory authorities as needed.

Audit & Controls

Maintain organized records for audit and tax purposes. Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations. Ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations.

Team Collaboration

Communicate effectively with team members, management, and third-party consultants via online platforms. Assist junior accountants or freelancers as needed. Participate in virtual meetings, training, and finance-related projects.

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field Professional certification (CPA, ACCA, CA, or equivalent) is a plus 4+ years of accounting experience, preferably within the

Gulf region

Sufficient knowledge of

VAT

and

Corporate Tax

regulations in

UAE / KSA / GCC

Proficiency in cloud-based accounting software (e.g.,

Zoho Books, Xero, QuickBooks Online

, or

ERP systems like SAP/Oracle

) Excellent Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, financial models) Self-motivated and able to manage workload independently in a remote environment Strong communication and collaboration skills Reliable internet connection and ability to work full-time remotely
