Job Overview


We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in accounting principles and practices, with a focus on financial management and reporting. This role is essential for ensuring the accuracy of financial statements, compliance with regulatory requirements, and the overall financial health of the organization. The Senior Accountant will work closely with various departments to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.

Duties



Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP and IFRS standards. Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely processing and reconciliation. Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and maintain the integrity of the general ledger accounting system. Manage cash flow and perform cash management activities to optimize liquidity. Prepare regulatory reports and ensure compliance with SOX requirements. Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes, providing insights for financial planning. Perform technical accounting tasks related to non-profit, governmental, and public accounting sectors as needed. Write detailed financial reports that communicate findings to stakeholders effectively. Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero for various accounting functions. Conduct financial analysis and account analysis to identify trends and variances. Collaborate with internal teams to support payroll processing and ensure accuracy in payroll accounting.

Experience



Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA designation preferred. Proven experience in corporate accounting with a strong understanding of double-entry bookkeeping principles. Familiarity with cash management practices and financial concepts is essential. Experience in governmental or non-profit accounting is a plus. Proficient in using financial software for reporting, analysis, and account reconciliation tasks. Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail; ability to interpret complex financial data effectively. Excellent communication skills for writing financial reports and collaborating with team members across departments.
