We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive General Ledger Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing the general ledger, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations. This role plays a key part in supporting the month-end close process and providing financial insights to management.
Key Responsibilities:
Should be able to perform General Ledger Management, Fixed Assets, Balance sheet.
Prepare and maintain accurate general ledger entries and account reconciliations.
Ensure all transactions are recorded in accordance with GAAP.
Month-End Close:
Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements and reports.
Coordinate with various departments to gather necessary information for the month-end close process.
Account Reconciliations:
Perform regular reconciliations of balance sheet accounts and resolve discrepancies.
Investigate and rectify any variances in financial data.
Financial Reporting:
Generate and analyse financial reports for management review.
Provide insights into financial performance and variances from budgets.
Audit Support:
Prepare documentation and schedules for internal and external audits.
Assist in implementing recommendations from audit findings.
Process Improvement:
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in the GL process.
Stay updated on accounting regulations and best practices.
Qualifications:
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Workday) and Advanced Microsoft Excel is an added advantage.
Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
