To manage and oversee the complete accounting process, ensure financial accuracy, statutory compliance, and support management in financial planning and decision-making. The Senior Accountant will also supervise the accounts team and maintain timely reporting of all financial activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Management
Maintain day-to-day accounting entries in Tally or ERP software.
Manage accounts receivable/payable, bank reconciliation, and journal entries.
Ensure monthly and yearly closing of accounts.
Taxation & Compliance
Prepare and file
GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9)
.
Handle
TDS, Income Tax, and Professional Tax
related work.
Coordinate with auditors for annual audits and statutory compliance.
Financial Reporting
Prepare
monthly P&L statements, balance sheets, cash flow
and variance analysis.
Present financial summaries to management and suggest improvements.
Payroll & Expense Control
Manage salary sheets, advances, incentives, and reimbursements.
Monitor expenses, maintain vouchers, and ensure internal control systems.
Team Coordination
Supervise junior accountants and ensure timely completion of work.
Train and guide the accounts staff on process improvements.
Vendor & Bank Coordination
Handle vendor payments, purchase bills verification, and ledger reconciliation.
Coordinate with banks for OD accounts, fund transfers, and loan documentation.
Required Skills:
Strong knowledge of
Tally Prime, Excel, and Accounting Standards
Understanding of
GST, TDS, and Income Tax filing
Excellent analytical and problem-solving ability
Strong communication and leadership skills
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
